With The Ultimate Fighter season 12 set to premiere on Spike TV on September 15, Heavy MMA takes a look back at the top ten coaches in the series history.
Criteria will be based on a combination of overall team victories, positive influence on the careers of young fighters and pure coaching ability.
10. Randy Couture
The UFC Hall of Famer is a born leader and one of the greatest ambassadors in the history of the sport. Making up for the lack of wins on his team, Couture instilled leadership qualities to every fighter that trained with him throughout the season. Couture’s extensive background in wrestling was also very beneficial for some of the fighters on his team who may have lacked the proper grappling defense back then.
