Deal could see UFC events on broadcast TV

Sports Business Journal reported that the UFC and Fox have agreed to a multi-year deal that will see as many as four UFC shows per year land on the Fox broadcast network. HeavyMMA.com confirmed the story with a representative from Fox who preferred to speak anonymously.

HeavyMMA.com attempted to confirm the story with UFC officials, but have not received a response.

According to the report, the UFC’s reality show “The Ultimate Fighter” and other UFC-related programming would be televised on the FX channel, making it the official home of the UFC.

The deal is allegedly worth $90 million per year to the UFC and will last seven or eight years.
