Duffee Returns To The UFC In December Opposite De Fries

Duffee returns at UFC 155

Former UFC heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee is returning to the UFC at the end of this year.

Duffee meets Phil De Fries on December 29 at UFC 155.

UFC officials confirmed the fight on Wednesday.

Duffee has not fought in the UFC since a UFC 114 loss to Mike Russow in a fight he was dominating for the first two rounds. Russow landed a shot behind Duffee's ear to send him crumbling to the floor.

Following the loss, he was released by the UFC. He has fought just twice since, losing to Alistair Overeem in December of 2010 and defeating Neil Grove this past April.

Meanwhile, De Fries is 2-1 as a UFC heavyweight with his lone loss coming to Stipe Miocic this past February.

UFC 155 will serve as the promotion's year-end show on Pay-Per-View. The card features a heavyweight title fight between champion Junior dos Santos and former champion Cain Velasquez.
