Middleweight contender Michael Bisping

Bisping in line for title shot with win over Belfort

England's Michael Bisping appears to be closer than ever to the long elusive title shot he has dreamt of.

Following his post fight conference of the TUF 16 Finale, UFC President Dana White was asked of the chances of Bisping fighting Anderson Silva for the title:

"If Bisping wins, Bisping will probably will get that next shot. If not, we'll see what happens."

Of course "The Count" will need to get by former number one contender Vitor Belfort at UFC on FX 7, where "The Phenom" will be fighting in front of his home country of Brazil.

With Chris Weidman on the mend, and Georges St. Pierre deciding against the Silva super fight to fight Nick Diaz, Bisping could be the best suited middleweight to challenge "The Spider" for his championship.
