Barnett and Guelmino Meet at Final Strikeforce Card
The final Strikeforce card has added a bout between two heavyweight Goliaths.
According to MMAJunkie, the former UFC Heavyweight champion, Josh Barnett will welcome Austrian native Nandor Guelmino stateside.
The baby-faced assassin is coming off a loss to Daniel Cormier at the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix finals back in may. Before the loss Barnett was on an eight fight win streak that stretched nearly five years.
Unknown to most, Nandor "The Hun" Guelmino, who is making his Strikeforce debut, comes in to the bout with a 11-3 record, with seven submission victories.
The card formally known as Strikeforce: Champions, has since been retitled Strikeforce: Marquardt vs Saffiedine, with champions Luke Rockhold and Gilbert Melendez falling off the card due to injury.
The card however does remain strong with many notable fighters including Tim Kennedy, Gegard Mousasi, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, and Daniel Cormier, just to name a few.
The event is headlined by Strikeforce welterweight champion Nate Marquardt vs Tarec Saffiedine and takes place on January 12.
