"King" Muhammed Lawal
Lawal vs. Mysiala added to light-heavyweight tourney
Former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion "King" Muhammed Lawal is set to make his Bellator debut at promotion's January 24th card.
Bellator's officials announced his opponent as Przemyslaw Mysiala, a polish fighter who has mostly fought on the European circuit. He holds a record of 16-7, and is 2-2 in his last four fights.
Their bout will be part of the promotion's light-heavyweight tournament, which also features former UFC and Strikeforce veteran Renato "Babalu" Sobral.
Lawal last fought Lorenz Larkin at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs Jardine, a bout that he won but was eventually overturned due to testing positive for steroids and thus suspended for nine months. During his suspension Lawal has been passing his time training and dabbling in pro wrestling.
The Bellator 86 card also features the main event of welterweight champion Ben Askren taking on challenger Karl Amoussou.
