McKenzie out of UFC 155 due to injury

Cody McKenzie will have to wait until 2013 before his second fight at featherweight.

The veteran of The Ultimate Fighter suffered an injury in training and is unable to meet Leonard Garcia at UFC 155 this December.

MMAjunkie.com reported the news earlier this week, stating the promotion was currently underway for a replacement.

UFC 155 takes place December 29 in Las Vegas, featuring a heavyweight title fight between champion Junior dos Santos and former champion Cain Velasquez.

McKenzie debuted as a featherweight at UFC 148 after his run at lightweight went sorry. Chad Mendes, his opponent, earned a brutal knockout finish in the first round of the contest.

Meanwhile, Garcia finds himself in a bit of hot water himself. Having lost three straight, the WEC veteran is perhaps in need of a victory in order to maintain his status as a UFC employee.
