MMA loves Twitter. Whether it's finding out about a fight booking from the fighter himself or venting on terrible judging within the sport, people tweet first, breathe later. 2012 was a big year for MMA tweets. Some were inspirational. Some were mean spirited. Some even got you fired. But there's no doubt that Twitter is a big part of not only the UFC's agenda, but the sport as a whole.

We sat down, with the help of TwitSprout, and searched for the biggest MMA tweets of the year. We searched over 200 fighters and industry personalities for their personal tweet that was retweeted the most amount of times. We're sure some of the tweets that were in bad taste (and since deleted) got a decent amount of play as well, but if they're no longer on Twitter, they didn't make this list. Also, we only took one tweet per person, because we didn't want to make this the Dana White list.
