UFC on FOX 5 Ratings Strong With 4.4 Million Average Audience

UFC on FOX 5 draws average audience of 4.4 million viewers

Last weekend's UFC on FOX 5 earned an impressive leap in ratings.

The event average 4.4 million viewers, according to officials, and peaked during the main event with 5.7 million viewers.

Lightweight champion Ben Henderson headlined the card in front of Seattle's KeyArena opposite Nate Diaz. The latter did little to challenge the champion, and Henderson walked away with a unanimous decision win and his 155 lb. title.

The ratings marked a drastic increase from UFC on FOX 4, which featured a light heavyweight main event between former champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Brandon Vera. That event averaged an audience of 2.4 million viewers.

UFC on FOX 3 drew the same amount of viewers as well, and the back-to-back low-rated shows served as a catalyst for talks about the UFC and FOX relationship.

With five FOX events down, this past weekend's event comes in third in terms of average audience behind the first two FOX events. UFC on FOX 1's 5.7 million average audience remains far-and-away the most-watched UFC event on the network.
