Couture to Appear on Multiple Spike TV Shows

UFC Hall of Famer Randy "The Natural" Couture has signed a multi-year contract with Viacom's Spike TV to appear on multiple shows on this network including a Bellator reality series featuring a number of up and coming fighters.

According to Sports-Illustrated.com, Couture will reportedly be a coach on this new series, which will begin shooting next month to air later this year.

Spike TV president Kevin Kay will reveal more details pertaining to Couture's contract at press conference taking place on February 5th in Los Angeles. Kay will explain the 49 year-old's role on the show in addition to the other productions he will be appearing on in the future.  According to Loretta Hunt, the deal was finalized last December, despite the evident disapproval of Couture's old boss, UFC President Dana White.

While the name of the Bellator series remains undisclosed, the show will in fact be produced by Emmy Award recipient Bertram Van Munster (The Amazing RaceCops).

Couture is obviously no stranger to this role, as he coached opposite fellow Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter  back in 2005.
