Pierson vs. Story added to UFC 158

The Ultimate Fighting Championship added another welterweight bout to UFC 158 this week with the announcement that Rick Story and Sean Pierson will meet on March card.

UFC officials revealed the news on Tuesday.

UFC 158 is set for Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 16, featuring a welterweight title fight between champion Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz.

The card also includes Carlos Condit vs. Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger vs. Johny Hendricks.

Story looks to break out of a recent slump at the event after losing three of his last four fights. Prior to the downturn, he was 6-1 in the UFC and poised to make a run at the welterweight belt after defeating Thiago Alves at UFC 130.

Since then he has lost to Charlie Brenneman, Martin Kampmann, and Demian Maia, while his only win came against Brock Jardine in June of last year.

Meanwhile, Pierson earned victories in his last two contests, pushing his UFC record to 3-2. The two losses came against contenders Dong Hyun Kim and Jake Ellenberger at UFC 141 and UFC 129, respectively.
