Barnett, Mousasi top Strikeforce Finale payroll

The payroll for the final Strikeforce event is in, and heavyweight Josh Barnett walked away with the biggest check.

"The Warmaster" took home $250,000, nearly 25 percent of the $1,153,500 payroll. Just $75K behind him was the check cut for former light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi, who earned a cool $175,000.

Both earned submission victories on the main card, which broadcast live on Showtime on January 12 from the Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City.

Other fighters walking away with nice cuts from the payroll were heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier ($120,000), who dominated Dion Staring in his co-main event bout, and Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza ($100,500), who defeated UFC import Ed Herman via submission in the opening bout of the main card.

MMAjunkie.com revealed the numbers on Monday.
