Vinny Magalhaes finally got the fight he's been asking for.

The runner-up from season eight of The Ultimate Fighter meets Phil Davis at UFC 159 this April in Newark, New Jersey.

The booking, along with a heavyweight match up between Roy Nelson and Cheick Kongo, was announced on Tuesday evening during the latest episode of UFC Tonight.

UFC 159 takes place on April 27 at Newark's Prudential Center. Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones headlines opposite Chael Sonnen in the main event of the evening.

Magalhaes returned to the Octagon following a three-year absence to face Igor Pokrajac, an opponent he went on to submit in the first round of their UFC 152 bout last September.

Following the victory, the submission ace made his desire to fight Davis public, and the pair went back and forth after the initial nudge from Magalhaes on Twitter.

Davis, meanwhile, has spent the majority of his career (eight of 12 fights) in the UFC, last competing at UFC 153 against Wagner Prado. "Mr. Wonderful" submitted his Brazilian opponent, earning his first win in his past three contests.

Regardless of the cold streak, which consisted of one win, one no contest, and one loss, Davis is 10-1 as a professional.
