Heavyweights Gonzaga, Browne Clash At The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale

Gonzaga, Browne meet at TUF Finale in April

A heavyweight tilt between Gabriel Gonzaga and Travis Browne is set for April 13 at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.

UFC president Dana White tweeted the news earlier on Monday.

“Heavyweights Gabriel ‘Napao’ Gonzaga and Travis ‘Hapa’ Brown have agreed to fight at the Ultimate Fighter Finale April 13.”

The card takes place at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The only other fight on the card as of now is the tournament finale from this past season, which features coaches Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones.

Gonzaga last competed at UFC on FX 7, earning a second round submission win over Ben Rothwell. The Brazilian submission ace is now 2-0 since returning to the UFC.

While Gonzaga looks to continue his climb up the heavyweight ladder, Browne hopes to reignite his. He suffered his first professional defeat against Antonio Silva at UFC on FX 5, snapping a three-fight winning streak.
