Tavares suspended 90 days
Remember all those rumors that Vitor Belfort popped for a PED test after his fight against Michael Bisping at UFC on FX 7?
Well as it turns out , just like Dana White said, it was all a load of bull. However, White's proclamation that someone else did test positive rang true, as we have now learned from Tatame, the mystery man is Thiago Tavares:
After many rumors, the results of doping tests UFC Sao Paulo left. According TATAME found, the name of the athlete is caught Thiago Tavares. Our sources, however, need not know the substance used for light weight. His suspension will be nine months.
The Brazlian Tavares fought in the opening bout of the main card of the event, losing in devastating fashion when the red hot Khabib Nurmagomedov obliterated him with punches and elbows.
While this is the first time Tavares has tested positive, he now becomes the most recent man in a string of cases involving Brazilians caught doping. Others recently found have been Rousimar Palhares and Thiago Silva. Tavares will now face a 90-day suspension.
