Johnson, Moraga meet in flyweight title fight
A flyweight title fight will serve as the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale as Demetrious Johnson looks to defend his belt against John Moraga in April.
Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the news, which has since been confirmed by UFC officials.
The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale takes place on April 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Johnson last fought in the main event of UFC on FOX 6, defending his title against a game John Dodson in a five round contest. Prior to the victory, Johnson earned the title by defeating Joseph Benavidez at UFC 152 to become the first-ever UFC flyweight champion.
Meanwhile, Moraga defeated Chris Cariaso in his last outing via submission, making him 2-0 in the UFC. In his debut with the promotion, he stopped Ulysses Gomez with a brutal knockout at UFC on FOX 4.
Also on the TUF 17 Finale card, heavyweights Gabriel Gonzaga and Travis Browne will do battle, while women bantamweights Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano will also fight at the event. Of course, the finalists of TUF 17 will also compete.
