Three fights added to UFC's Sweden event

Several more contests have been added to UFC on FUEL TV 9.

Over the weekend, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced Matt Mitrione vs. Phil De Fries, Ryan Couture vs. Ross Pearson, and Ryan LaFlare vs. Ben Alloway, all which will take place on the April 6 card in Stockholm, Sweden.

A light heavyweight contest between Alexander Gustafsson and Gegard Mousasi headlines that card. Tickets for the event sold out in just a few hours.

In the heavyweight match up, Mitrione looks to come back from a knockout loss to Roy Nelson at The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson Finale, while De Fries lost his last bout as well. He was defeated by Todd Duffee at UFC 155.

Unlike the heavyweights, lightweights Pearson and Couture are coming off wins, though Couture's last contest was highly controversial.

He defeated K.J. Noons in the final Strikeforce event, earning a split-decision. Meanwhile, Pearson left no doubt in his last fight, stopping George Sotiropoulos in the third round of their UFC on FX 6 contest.

The final fight announced over the weekend features a pair of fighters who are relatively unknown in the UFC. Alloway competed at the aforementioned UFC on FX 6 in his debut with the promotion, scoring a vicious knockout win, while LaFlare makes his debut with the promotion this April.
