Velasquez: a win for either earns a title shot
"Both Junior and Mark have heavy hands, have good stand up. [Hunt winning] could happen. Either one could win in this fight just because of both scenarios, both guys having good hands and being good on their feet. If he beats Junior, or Junior beats him, both of those guys deserve the shot at the title .
As for the man who he thinks will have his hand raised:
"Junior. He's more well-rounded. I don't know, I just think he's more skilled in the stand up a little bit."
If anyone knows the skill set of Junior dos Santos it's Cain Velasquez. The men have previously fought at UFC on FOX 1 and UFC 155, with both even at 1-1. However, while he may have insight on the Brazilian, Velasquez has not yet had to fight Mark Hunt. And as Stefan Struve's jaw can attest to, one should never underestimate the "Super Samoan's" game-changing power.
Let's be honest. While the Dos Santos could drag the bout to the ground with his BJJ credentials and increase his odds, Velasquez makes a good point in saying that the bout could really go either way. In a fight featuring some of the heaviest strikers in the game, perhaps the best prediction to make is to say this one won't be going to the judges.
