Bader vs. Teixeira, Okami vs. Jacare targeted for September 4th card
UFC officials are reportedly looking to add two massive contenders bouts to their FOX Sports 1: 3 card that is scheduled for September 4 in Belo Horizante, Brazil.
Bader and Teixeira were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 160, however the former Arizona standout wrestler was forced to withdraw with an injury. Teixeira would later go on to quickly defeat Bader's replacement, James Te Huna, by a guillotine choke to capture his 19th straight victory.
The upcoming bout will also mark the 1st time Bader has stepped into the octagon since his Submission of the Night win over Vladimir Matyushenko back in Januray.
BJJ ace Jacare Souza is coming off his extremely successful UFC debut back at UFC on FX 8 where he easily submitted Chris Camozzi with a 1st round arm-triangle. The upcoming bout with Okami will mark the second straight time he will have fought in his home country of Brazil.
Since his back-to-back losses to Anderson Silva and Tim Boetsch, "Thunder" has seemingly regained his contender form by winning his last 3 contests. Okami's last bout saw him defeat former Bellator champ and KO artist Hector Lomabrd by split decision back in March.
As of now, it remains to be seen if these bouts will be announced as main and co-main event of night or if the UFC has another huge bout up their sleeve.
