Grappling superstar Drysdale makes transition to professional MMA

Drysdale, the 2007 ADCC Absolute Division Champion, is scheduled to make his professional mixed martial arts debut at "AFC 3: Evolution" on July 17. No opponent has been named at this time.
Drysdale is known as one of the pre-eminent superstars in the world of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Born in Utah, Drysdale moved to Brazil with his family at the age of six, where he stayed until college. He began training BJJ in 1998 and earned his black belt in 2005. Drysdale has six world BJJ championships to his credit.
Drysdale made his amateur MMA debut in late 2008, scoring a win over Josh Musick with a first-round armbar at a Tuff-N-Uff event in his current hometown of Las Vegas.
