Waylon Lowe (8-2) will replace an injured Thiago Tavares against Melvin Guillard at UFC 114, set for May 29 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Reports of Tavares' injury were reported earlier this morning. Heavy MMA confirmed Lowe as the replacement with sources close to the fight.
Lowe last fought on April 16 at a King of the Cage event where he scored a first round knockout. He is riding a six-fight win streak and hasn't lost since May of 2007.
Guillard has won four of his last five fights, most recently grinding out a unanimous decision victory over Ronnys Torres at UFC 109.
