Former TUF star gets another Octagon chance
UFC veteran Matt Brown will face Mark "Scanno" Scanlon at UFC on Versus 3 in Louisville.
Heavy.com was informed of the bout by sources close to the negotiations on Monday morning. Bout agreements have been distributed but not been signed.
Brown is likely facing a do or die scenario going into the bout. He's lost three fights in a row with the most recent coming at the hands of Brian Foster at UFC 123 in November. Brown made his UFC debut in 2008 at the Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale.
Scanlon, a member of Team Kaobon in Liverpool, lost his UFC debut to Pascal Krauss at UFC 122. Prior to the loss, however, he'd strung together seven wins in a row.
UFC on Versus 3 takes place March 3 in Louisville, Kentucky. The event, while not officially announced, is scheduled to feature a main event welterweight bout between Diego Sanchez and Martin Kampmann.
