UFC featherweights Dustin Poirier and Rani Yahya will face off at UFC 131.
Sources close to the bout informed HeavyMMA.com of the news on Saturday morning.
UFC 131 is headlined by a heavyweight contender's bout between Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos. Lesnar and dos Santos are currently serving as coaches for this week's season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Poirier is coming off a dominant victory over Josh Grispi at UFC 125 on January 1. Grispi had been expected to face Jose Aldo on the card, but Poirier filled in for Aldo after the featherweight champion was injured while training. Poirier, using a style much like Chuck Liddell's, battered Grispi around the cage and put on one of the more exciting fights of the night.
Yahya defeated Mike Brown in a bout that served as his return to the featherweight division and UFC debut at UFC Fight for the Troops 2. He'd suffered two losses in a row and was likely in must-win territory.
