UFC fighters test clean following Fort Hood event.
Six fighters from “UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2” were tested for recreational and performance enhancing drugs, and all returned negative test results.
UFC Vice President of Regulator Affairs Marc Ratner confirmed the clean test results to Heavy.com on Thursday. MMAJunkie.com first reported the news.
Main event fighters Melvin Guillard and Evan Dunham both submitted samples for testing along with four other randomly selected fighters.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation does not required pre or post-event drug testing. The UFC conducted the tests and an independent drug testing lab processed the samples.
“UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2” took place on Jan. 22 at Fort Hood, Texas. The event served as a fund raiser for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and aired on Spike TV.
