A heavyweight clash between former Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem and Antonio Silva is in the works for UFC 156.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reported the match up, and UFC officials have since given confirmation.
Overeem looks to return to action after a nine-month suspension due to a failed drug test leading up to UFC 146. He debuted in the UFC at UFC 141 against former champion Brock Lesnar, earning a technical knockout win.
Meanwhile, Silva is fresh off an upset win against Travis Browne at "UFC On FX 5." The victory was his first in the UFC.
UFC 156 takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 2. The card features a featherweight title bout between champion Jose Aldo and former UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar.
