St. Pierre, Condit take home "Fight of the Night" bonuses
UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre walked away from his main event contest against Carlos Condit with a victory last Saturday at UFC 154.
But both fighters walked away with a little extra cash in their pockets.
St. Pierre and Condit fought for the full five rounds before the former was declared champion, and at the post-fight press conference Dana White revealed that each received a fight night bonus of $70,000 for participating in the evening's "Fight of the Night."
Co-main event winner Johny Hendricks, who defeated Martin Kampmann via first round knockout, also earned $70,000 for "Knockout of the Night" honors.
The "Submission of the Night," worth the same amount of money, went to preliminary card fighter Ivan Menjivar, who submitted Azamat Gashimov earlier in the evening.
UFC 154 took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal last Saturday.
