Round 1: Poirier pressing early, but Brookins holding his own. He lands a big shot and Poirier is in trouble up against the cage. Kick from Brookins. Insane flurry from the two. Poirier looks takedown. They separate. Amazing Poirier was able to survive that. Brookins again with pressure up against the cage. Poirier separates. Brookins with another clinch, but Poirier is back out. Front kick from Poirier leads to a brief takedown from Brookins. Poirier back up and striking. Nice right from Poirier drops Brookins. One minute to go. They clinch. Poirier with a vicious combination. Brookins shoots. D'arce choke from Poirier. Brookins taps. Very good finish from Poirier.

Shane Del Rosario vs. Pat Barry
Round 1: Touch of gloves to kick off the second fight on FX. Del Rosario with a kick to the body. Barry with a leg kick They clinch after 30 seconds. Knees from Del Rosario in the clinch. He tries to take the fight down, but Barry is quickly back up. Back to the clinch, and Del Rosario with more knees. More shots to the body, but they separate. Heavy breathing from Del Rosario. Barry with a leg kick. Del Rosario drives forward for a takedown. He has the fight down and is looking for Barry's back. He has it and he has the rear naked choke. Barry survives, somehow.Del Rosario rolls for an arm. He has an omoplata. Oh, he lets it go. Back to back control for Del Rosario. 30 seconds to go in the round. He rolls for an arm. Round 2: The touch gloves to start the second round, and both guys look a bit tired. Nice overhand left from Barry. He rushes forward, crushing Del Rosario. Wow. This fight is over. Barry with a crushing left followed by a vicious right hook to earn the finish.

Mike Ricci vs. Colton Smith
Round 1: Touch of gloves to start the fight. Smith shoots in and ducks under a head kick. Big elbows from Ricci. Wow, those were vicious. Smith up and pressing for another takedown. Ricci attempts to keep this fight standing. But Ricci ends up on the mat. He looks to stand, but Smith takes his back and has a hook in. Now he has both in. Smith landing. He is in the seated position now, but has his opponent's back. He is looking for the choke. Ricci defending nicely. Midpoint of the first round. Neck crank from Smith. Ricci rolls out and is back to his feet. He smiles and touches gloves with Smith. Smith with another takedown attempt with a minute to go in the round. Ricci keeps his feet, at least for now. Takedown landed by Smith with 30 seconds to go, but he can't do much. Fightday.com scores the round 10-9 for Smith.

Round 2: Kicks traded early. Smith landed low, but the referee fails to stop the action. Poor officiating there. Smith doesn't stop pouring on the pressure and gets the fight to the ground. Ricci back up. More clinch work from Smith. He gets the fight down again. Smith moves to the back again and begins pounding away. He can't get both hooks in, however. Now he has them. Smith appears to have the choke, or at least a strong crank. Ricci escapes and is back to the feet. Tremendous battle. Smith with another takedown. He is relentless. He once again moves to the back. Oh, he almost had the choke, but lost it. He has it now. Ricci is in trouble. He escapes once again. Smith with another attempt. Neck crank here. Ricci survives it again. Round 3: Ricci with a lackluster kick. Smith fires back. Another takedown attempt for Smith, and he once again is moving to the back of Ricci. Smith is attempting another neck crank, but that just isn't working for him. Ricci is composed. Another neck crank. Ricci escapes again. It's amazing that Smith's arms have anything left. He goes to mount, now back to back mount. Punches from Smith, but Ricci is fine. Deep breath from Ricci. Midway point of the round. Another neck crank attempt from Smith. Ricci is doing nothing. 90 seconds. Ricci rolls out and takes Smith's back now. Incredible change of dynamic. Ricci rolls for an arm. Smith gets out with 20 seconds to go. Roy Nelson vs. Matt Mitrione
Round 1: Nelson misses with a big combination. Mitrione looks to land, but his combination is blocked. Head kick from Mitrione. Nelson with a nice overhand right. Another kick from Mitrione, and Nelson comes right back with a combo, then with a takedown attempt. Clinch up against the cage. Mitrione turns Nelson around. Knees from Mitrione. He is in terrific shape. He separates with an elbow, but Nelson shakes it off. Big right hand from Mitrione. Nelson with a nice left. He rushes forward now with a nice combination. They are slugging it out now. Nice leg kick from Mitrione. Nelson with a vicious right hook. Huge uppercut from Nelson. He floors Mitrione. Vicious ground and pound. This fight is over. Nelson with a fantastic knockout in what was a terrific brawl.
