Chael Sonnen vs Jon Jones Official For UFC 159 In New Jersey

UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen

Title fight will headline event from Prudential Center in Newark

We know light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen will coach the The Ultimate Fighter 17. We know they will fight each other afterwards. Now we know which event they will battle it out at.

The two will meet and headline UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen on April 27th, from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Jones, who is based out of New York, will return to the arena where he won the light-heavyweight championship from Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 128 in March of 2011. That event was also the last time the UFC was in New Jersey.

"Bones" most recent fight however was at UFC 152, when he defeated Vitor Belfort with an americana in the fourth round. For Sonnen, this will be his second title shot in a row. He most recently and famously lost his second fight to middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 148, when he missed on a spinning back fist and and was hit by a direct knee to the sternum, followed by ground and pound to end the fight.
