UFC Headed To New Fox Sports Channels, FX To No Longer Carry Sports

UFC headed to new Fox Sports Channel in AugustUFC on Fuel

It appears that FOX is completely revamping their sports lineup by re-branding two entirely new channels.

According to Sport's Business Journal's John Ourand, FX, which in the past has also aired college football and baseball, will now air no sports content, as it will only air entertainment themed shows. Instead, the channels Speed and Fuel will now be rebranded to Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2, and will air both sports news and live events.

So what does this mean for fight fans? This basically means that any UFC fight or themed show will air on one of the two channels, with Fox Sports 1 expected to air the more marquee programs and big events. However these changes are not to take place until August of this year.

It will be interesting as to where the network decides to air "The Ultimate Fighter", as while it is a sports show, it is also a reality themed show. As we get closer to the change itself, we will no doubt be hearing from the UFC and Fox as to where each event or show will be aired.
